Field Officer – Career Coach

Project Overview:
WINGS – Work Inclusion, Growth and Sustainability for Women, Youth and Persons with Disabilities in Kenya is a project that focuses on strengthening inclusive employment pathways for vulnerable groups by aligning with Kenya’s national priorities, including the modernization of educational methodologies under the Competency-Based Curriculum, investment in training-to-work transitions, and support for the gradual shift from informal to formal economic structures.
Result 2 Background – Decent Work & Employment Creation for Women
Result 2 seeks to generate Decent Work opportunities for 400 vulnerable women (including 5% women with disabilities) in the domestic work and corporate support services sectors. Guided by digitalization and partnership-for-development approaches, the component addresses the skills mismatch, enhances access to professional and digital skills, and promotes long-term job insertion.
Position Summary
The Field Officer – Career Coach will support the operational and technical implementation of all Result 2 activities and deliverables.
Key Responsibilities
Supports the proper execution of all Result 2 activities including:
Support the recruitment of 400+ (5% PWD) women for the new curricula trainings;
Support the piloting and implementation of the NITA new teaching curricula for domestic Workers and corporate support services in the target vocational institutions;
Monitor progress on beneficiaries training, job insertion, digitalization and awareness activities;
Facilitates the access of the target trainees to project services such as digitalization courses, internship opportunities and access to the Social start up digital services;
Monitor and reports about the conduction of the trainings ;
Supports the development, and utilization of MEAL tools and frameworks;
Assists the HQ Office in crosscutting tasks such as:
Conductions of needs assessments for project proposals writing;
Meetings with local government officials;
Any other task consistent with the role and field of expertise.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Development Studies, Education, Social Sciences or related fields;
Experience with vocational training (TVET/NITA), labor market insertion, or skills development programs;
Minimum 2 years of experience in development cooperation projects funded by institutional donors (experience in AICS projects is a strong asset);
Proven expertise in Project Cycle Management (PCM);
Solid knowledge of MEAL elements (indicators, data collection systems, means of verification etc.);
Excellent command of Microsoft Office Suite;
Proficiency in English and Kiswahili.
Knowledge of disability inclusion and gender-responsive programming;
Skills in mentoring/counselling/coaching activities;
Gross Salary and benefits:
The gross monthly salary ranges from KES 60,000 to KES 80,000, depending on the candidate’s skills and experience. Health insurance will be provided to the selected candidate.
